Item Revival
One of our favourite vintage services at Old Fangled GB is the “revival” of vintage and antique items. We start by identifying the age and materials of each item to ensure we use the right cleaning methods, distinguishing between natural patina and decades of dust and dirt!
Patina’s are the dark surface layer that forms over time. They add charm, character, and authenticity. We aim to retain as much of it as possible, whether your item is wood, brass, bronze, silver, or stone. It’s a hands-on, sometimes grubby, but a deeply satisfying process to take something discarded as tat and uncover an item’s hidden beauty.
Whether you've inherited heirlooms, found treasures in the attic, or picked up something special at a vintage fair, we’re here to help. If you'd prefer not to tackle the cleaning yourself, we offer a return postal service by arrangement and are happy to discuss how we can help bring your piece back to life.
